Do not multiply thyself speaking great and lofty things; let arrogant words cease from your mouth, for the LORD is the all-knowing God, and the magnificent works are his.

When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the humble is wisdom.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; the covenant that he makes, shall not be without chastening.

For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire and blesses the covetous, whom the LORD abhors. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, does not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
