And his disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned? this man or his parents? that he was born blind. Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God might be manifested in him.
And be not afraid of them, who can only kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.
Wherefore let them, that suffer according to the will of God, commit their souls in well-doing to Him as to a faithful Creator.

Behold the hire of the laborers, that reaped your fields, of which they are defrauded by you, crieth out against you: and the complaints of the reapers are come into the ears of the Lord of hosts.

Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was famishing, and ye gave me nothing to eat; I was a-thirst, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye took no care of me.read more.
Then will they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee famishing, or a-thirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not relieve thee? Then will He reply to them, saying, Verily I tell you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the lest of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.
For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath not shewn mercy: but mercy triumpheth over judgement.
And if the righteous be saved with difficulty, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Give to her as she hath given to you, and repay her double according to her works: in the cup, which she hath mixed, mix for her double. As much as she hath glorified herself and indulged to luxury, so much torment and sorrow give her; because she saith in her heart, I sit as a queen, I am not a widow, and I shall see no sorrow.
