Think not that I am come to make void the law or the prophets; I am not come to make void, but to fulfil.

And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

for if ye had believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. But if ye do not believe his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.

Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me; and ye will not come to me that ye might have life.

And having rolled up the book, when he had delivered it up to the attendant, he sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon him. And he began to say to them, To-day this scripture is fulfilled in your ears.

But all this is come to pass that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him and fled.
