And let them make Me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them.

According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments of it, even so you shall make it.

And every wise-hearted one among you shall come and make all that Jehovah has commanded: the tabernacle, its tent, its covering, its clasps, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets.

And every wise-hearted one among them that worked the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of fine twined bleached linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet. He made them with cherubs of skillful work.

And Moses reared up the tabernacle and fastened its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and reared up its pillars.

You shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation on the first day of the first month.

And it was in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, the tabernacle was reared up. And Moses reared up the tabernacle and fastened its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and reared up its pillars. And he took and placed the Testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat on the ark from above. And he brought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the covering, and covered the Ark of Testimony, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil. And he set the bread in order upon it before Jehovah, even as Jehovah had commanded Moses. And he put the lampstand in the tent of the congregation across from the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward. And he set up the lamps before Jehovah, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation in front of the veil. And he burned sweet incense on it, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. And he set up the screen at the door of the tabernacle. And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered on it the burnt offering and the food offering, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, for washing. And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet there. When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near the altar, they washed, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. And he reared up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the court gate. And Moses finished the work.

And you shall anoint the tabernacle of the congregation with it, and the ark of the testimony,

And Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them.

You shall keep My sabbaths and revere My sanctuary. I am Jehovah.

But you shall set the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all its things. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its vessels. And they shall serve it, and shall camp around the tabernacle.

And they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

And the tabernacle was taken down. And the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari pulled up stakes, carrying the tabernacle.

And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites. These were the families of the Kohathites. In number, all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary. The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward.read more.
And the ruler of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the veil, and all the service of it. And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the leaders of the Levites, having the oversight of the ones who keep the charge of the sanctuary.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, according to their families, by their fathers' house, from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years, all that enter into the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.read more.
This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, the most holy place. And when the camp sets forth, Aaron and his sons shall come, and they shall take down the covering veil and cover the ark of testimony with it. And they shall put on it the covering of dugong skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in its staves. And they shall spread a cloth of blue upon the table of showbread, and put the dishes on it, and the spoons, and the bowls, and the cups of the drink offering, and covers to cover it with. And the continual bread shall be on it. And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet and cover it with a covering of dugong skins, and they shall put in its staves. And they shall take a cloth of blue and cover the lampstand of the light, and its lamps, and its tongs, and its fire-pans, and all the oil vessels of it, with which they serve it. And they shall put it and all the vessels of it inside a covering of dugong skins, and shall put it upon a bar. And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and they shall put the staves into it. And they shall take all the vessels of ministry with which they serve in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of dugong skins, and shall put them on a bar. And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it. And they shall put on it all its vessels, with which they minister about it: the fire-pans, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar. And they shall spread upon it a covering of dugong skins, and put the staves into it. And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set forward, then after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it. But they shall not touch any holy thing lest they die. These are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest belongs the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily food offering, and the anointing oil, the oversight of all the tabernacle and of all that is in it, in the sanctuary and in its vessels. And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, Do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites. But do this to them, and they shall live and not die when they approach the Holy of Holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint each one of them to his service and to his burden. But they shall not go in to watch when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

And the Kohathites pulled up stakes carrying the sanctuary. And the tabernacle was set up before they came.

You shall number the sons of Merari according to their families, by the house of their fathers. You shall number them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who enters into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation. And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation: the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets,read more.
and the pillars of the court all around, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their vessels, and with all their service. And you shall count the vessels of the charge of their burden by name. This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

Then truly the first tabernacle had also ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.

We have an altar of which they have no right to eat, those who serve the tabernacle.

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony. And at evening it was upon the tabernacle, looking like fire, until the morning.

The tabernacle of witness was among our fathers in the wilderness, as commanded by God, speaking to Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen.

For the first tabernacle was prepared, in which was both the lampstand, and the table, and the setting out of the loaves, which is called Holies.

And they brought up the ark of Jehovah, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels which were in the tabernacle; even those the priests and the Levites brought up.
