Every man has become brutish, without knowledge. Every goldsmith is put to shame by his image, for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them.

And having returned, he found them again sleeping, for their eyes were weighed down, and they knew not what they should reply to him.
And a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, Ye know nothing at all,
yet LORD has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.
(for we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow).
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ, even this crucified man.
