“An ox knows its owner,
And a donkey its master’s manger,
But Israel does not know,
My people do not understand.”
“Will the wild ox consent to serve you,
Or will he spend the night at your manger?
Where no oxen are, the manger is clean,
But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.
A righteous man has regard for the life of his animal,
But even the compassion of the wicked is cruel.
Also the oxen and the donkeys which work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.
So the man entered the house. Then Laban unloaded the camels, and he gave straw and feed to the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.
Again she said to him, “We have plenty of both straw and feed, and room to lodge in.”

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

And there be no fruit on the vines,

Though the flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be no cattle in the stalls,
“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
Solomon had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12,000 horsemen.
Now Solomon had 4,000 stalls for horses and chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and he stationed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.
But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him?
