13 Bible Verses about Training Children

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of God.

Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and the alien who is in your town. God deals with you like children. Endure discipline (instruction) (training). Who is the child whom a father does not discipline?

Do not withhold discipline from a child. If you spank him with a stick he will not die.

I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household; and that they may remain in the righteous and just way of Jehovah. Jehovah will bring to Abraham what he told him.

Carefully teach them to your sons. Talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way. Speak about them when you lie down, and when you rise up.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth.
