and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall pluck them out of my hand. The Father, who has given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of the hand of the Father.
In my first defence no one stood by me, but all left me: may it not be charged against them: but the Lord stood by me, and impowered me; in order that the preaching through me might be fulfilled, and all the Gentiles hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and save me into his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory unto the ages of the ages. Amen.

And I say unto you, my friends, Be not afraid of those killing the body, and after these things, having nothing more to do. Then what shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Indeed he who spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not with him, freely give us all things? Who will lay anything to the charge of God's elect?read more.
It is God who justifies: who is he that condemns? It is Christ who died, and rather who is risen, who is on the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding in our behalf. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As has been written, that We are killed all day for thy sake; we are counted as sheep of the slaughter. But in all these we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
