And the high priests and all the sanhedrim were seeking false testimony against Jesus, in order that they might kill Him. And they found none. Behold, the wages of the laborers having reaped your fields, which is fraudulently kept back by you, is crying out: and the voices of the reapers have come into the ears of the Lord of hosts. Ye flourished upon the earth, and were wanton; you nourished your hearts in the day of slaughter. You condemned, you murdered the righteous; nothing antagonizes you.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: every one not doing righteousness is not of God, and the one not loving his brother with divine love.

You are of your father the devil, and you wish to do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stood not in the truth, because there was no truth in him. When he may speak a lie, he speaks of his own: because he is a liar, and the father of the same.

And on this account God sends to them the working of delusion, that they should believe a lie:

If the world hates you, know that it first hated me. If you were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

For out of the heart proceed evil reasonings, murders, fornications, adulteries, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies.

But the works of carnality are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, debauchery, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, animosities, selfseekings, divisions, heresies, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and things like unto these: which I tell you beforehand, as I did previously say to you, that those doing such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
