[A Psalm of David.] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
And as you saw the feet and toes, part of potter's clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it the strength of the iron, just as you saw the iron mixed with miry clay.
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
Pour out your wrath upon the nations that have not known you, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon your name.
He said unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts allowed you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: since iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things: and as iron that breaks all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
He hews himself down cedars, and takes the cypress and the oak, which he secures for himself among the trees of the forest: he plants a pine, and the rain does nourish it.
Understand therefore this day, that the LORD your God is he who goes over before you; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before your face: so shall you drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said unto you.
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.
