'Answered' in the Bible

He answered them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those outside, everything comes in parables

“What is your name?” He asked him.“My name is Legion,” he answered Him, “because we are many.”

He answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written:These people honor Me with their lips,but their heart is far from Me.

His disciples answered Him, “Where can anyone get enough bread here in this desolate place to fill these people?”

They answered Him, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, one of the prophets.”

“But you,” He asked them again, “who do you say that I am?”Peter answered Him, “You are the Messiah!”

Out of the crowd, one man answered Him, “Teacher, I brought my son to You. He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak.

They answered Him, “Allow us to sit at Your right and at Your left in Your glory.”

Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want Me to do for you?”“Rabbouni,” the blind man told Him, “I want to see!”

They answered them just as Jesus had said, so they let them go.

So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.”And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

One of the scribes approached. When he heard them debating and saw that Jesus answered them well, he asked Him, “Which command is the most important of all?”

“This is the most important,” Jesus answered:Listen, Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is One.

When Jesus saw that he answered intelligently, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any longer.

So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”He answered him, “You have said it.”

So Pilate answered them, “Do you want me to release the King of the Jews for you?”
