'Ask' in the Bible

But if you earnestly seek Godand ask the Almighty for mercy,

For ask the previous generation,and pay attention to what their fathers discovered,

If He snatches something, who can stop Him?Who can ask Him, “What are You doing?”

But ask the animals, and they will instruct you;ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you.

he will vanish forever like his own dung.Those who know him will ask, “Where is he?”

For you ask, “What does it profit You,and what benefit comes to me, if I do not sin?”
