'Causes' in the Bible

“He removes intelligence and understanding from the leaders of the people of the earthAnd makes them wander and move blindly in a pathless waste.

“People will clap their hands at him [to mock and ridicule him]And hiss him out of his place.

‘Behold, God finds pretexts against me;He counts me as His enemy.

“Whether [it be] for correction, or for His earth [generally]Or for [His] mercy and lovingkindness, He causes it to happen.

“Do you know how God establishes and commands them,And makes the lightning of His [storm] cloud shine?
