'Chop' in the Bible

Her sound [is] like a snake [that] glides away, for they march in force. And with axes they come to her like those who chop trees.

And they will not carry trees from the field, and they will not chop wood from the forests, for with the weapons they will light a fire; and they will plunder [those] plundering them, and they will plunder [those] plundering them," ' {declares} the Lord Yahweh.

He cried {aloud} and so he said: "Cut down the tree and chop off its branches; shake off its foliage and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it, and the birds from its branches.

and who eat the flesh of my people, and strip their skin from them, and break their bones, and chop [them] like meat in the pot, and like flesh in the midst of a cooking pot."
