'Circumstances' in the Bible
But I would have you know, brethren, that the circumstances in which I am have turned out rather to the furtherance of the glad tidings,
Only lead your lives in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent I hear {your circumstances}, that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one soul contending side by side for the faith of the gospel,
But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I also may be encouraged [when I] know {your circumstances}.
For I have no one like-minded who [will] sincerely be concerned about {your circumstances}.
Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see {my circumstances}.
I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.
