'Continues' in the Bible

“When I lie down I say,‘When shall I arise?’But the night continues,And I am continually tossing until dawn.

Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations;You established the earth, and it stands.

Blowing toward the south,Then turning toward the north,The wind continues swirling along;And on its circular courses the wind returns.

Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day.

and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
