'Deceived' in the Bible

For sin seized the advantage, and by means of the Commandment it completely deceived me, and also put me to death.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent in his craftiness deceived Eve, so your minds may be led astray from their single-heartedness and their fidelity to Christ.

and Adam was not deceived, but his wife was thoroughly deceived, and so became involved in transgression.
