'Dogs' in the Bible
Don’t give what is holy to dogs or toss your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them with their feet, turn, and tear you to pieces.
He answered, “It isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to their dogs.”
“Yes, Lord,” she said, “yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table!”
He said to her, “Allow the children to be satisfied first, because it isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
But she replied to Him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
He longed to be filled with what fell from the rich man’s table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.
Watch out for “dogs,” watch out for evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.
Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
