'Farther' in the Bible
I went on to the Fountain Gate and the King’s Pool, but farther down it became too narrow for my animal to go through.
when I declared: “You may come this far, but no farther;your proud waves stop here”?
Now pay attention: Today I am setting you free from the chains that were on your hands. If it pleases you to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will take care of you. But if it seems wrong to you to come with me to Babylon, go no farther. Look—the whole land is in front of you. Wherever it seems good and right for you to go, go there.”
Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Going on a little farther, He saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in their boat mending their nets.
Then He went a little farther, fell to the ground, and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.
They came near the village where they were going, and He gave the impression that He was going farther.
They took a sounding and found it to be 120 feet deep; when they had sailed a little farther and sounded again, they found it to be 90 feet deep.
