'Felled' in the Bible
Then the sons of Benjamin came out of Gibeah and felled to the ground on that day 22,000 men of Israel.
Benjamin went out against them from Gibeah the second day and felled to the ground again 18,000 men of the sons of Israel; all these drew the sword.
Thus they destroyed the cities; and each one threw a stone on every piece of good land and filled it. So they stopped all the springs of water and felled all the good trees, until in Kir-hareseth only they left its stones; however, the slingers went about it and struck it.
“Yet there will be a tenth portion in it,And it will again be subject to burning,Like a terebinth or an oakWhose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump.”
