'Glad' in the Bible

The proverbs of Solomon.A wise son makes a father glad,But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices,And when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting.

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down,But a good word makes it glad.

A wise son makes a father glad,But a foolish man despises his mother.

My son, if your heart is wise,My own heart also will be glad;

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,And he who sires a wise son will be glad in him.
