'Grasped' in the Bible

Afterward his brother came out, and his hand grasped Esau’s heel, so he was named Jacob (one who grabs by the heel, supplanter). Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.

Then David grasped his own clothes and tore them [in mourning]; so did all the men who were with him.

“When they (Israel) grasped you (Egypt) by the hand,You broke and tore apart their hands;When they leaned on you,You broke and strained their backs.”

who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it];
