'Guardian' in the Bible
Later, the LORD asked Cain, "Where's your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he answered. "Am I my brother's guardian?"
He will never let your foot slip, nor will your guardian become drowsy.
The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your right side.
maker of heaven and earth, the seas and everything in them, forever the guardian of truth,

And so the Law was our guardian until the Messiah came, so that we might be justified by faith.
But now that faith has come about, we are no longer under a guardian.
