'Hasty' in the Bible
As for those who are left of you, I will bring despair (lack of courage, weakness) into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a scattered leaf will put them to flight, and they will flee as if [running] from the sword, and will fall even when no one is chasing them.
He who is slow to anger has great understanding [and profits from his self-control],But he who is quick-tempered exposes and exalts his foolishness [for all to see].
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage,But everyone who acts in haste comes surely to poverty.
Do you see a [conceited] man who speaks quickly [offering his opinions or answering without thinking]?There is more hope for a [thickheaded] fool than for him.
Do not be hasty with your mouth [speaking careless words or vows] or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter before God. For God is in heaven and you are on earth; therefore let your words be few.
Do not be in a hurry to get out of his presence. Do not join in a malevolent matter, for the king will do whatever he pleases.
Say to those with an anxious and panic-stricken heart,“Be strong, fear not!Indeed, your God will come with vengeance [for the ungodly];The retribution of God will come,But He will save you.”
he said to Arioch, the king’s captain, “Why is the decree from the king so harsh and urgent?” Then Arioch explained the matter to Daniel.
So do not go on passing judgment before the appointed time, but wait until the Lord comes, for He will both bring to light the [secret] things that are hidden in darkness and disclose the motives of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.
