Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name cast out demons, and in thy name done many mighty works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

And whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, when you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, in the day of judgment, than for that city.

But I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon, in the day of judgment, than for you.

But I say to you, That for every idle word which men speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

Tho men of Nineveh shall rise in the judgment with this generation, and condemn it; for they repented in accordance with the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the south shall rise in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the most distant parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

Let both grow together till the harvest, and in time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Collect first the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my granary.

As, therefore, the tares are collected and burned in fire, so shall it be in the end of this age. The Son of man will send forth his angels, and collect out of his kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, and cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.read more.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears to hear,- let him hear.

So shall it be in the end of the age: the angels shall come forth and separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then he will reward every one according to his deeds.

Lord! open for us. But he answered and said: Verily I say to you, I know you not. Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. For as a man, on leaving his country, called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods: To one he gave five talents; to another, two; and to another, one; to each one, according to his own ability, and immediately left his country. Then he that had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and made other five talents. In like manner also, he that had received the two, gained other two. But he that had received the one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time, the lord of those servants came and settled with them. And he that had received the five talents came and brought other five talents, and said: Lord, you delivered to me five talents: see, I have gained other five talents in addition to them. His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord. And he also that had received the two talents came, and said: Lord, you delivered to me two talents; see, I have gained other two talents in addition to them. But he that had received the one talent came, and said: Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth; see, you have yours. His lord answered and said to him: Wicked and slothful servant; did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter? Therefore, you ought to have put my money with the bankers; and, when I came, I could have received my own with interest. Therefore, take from him the talent, and give it to him that has the ten talents. For to every one that has, it shall be given, and he shall have abundance. But from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the darkness without. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. When the Son of man shall come in his own glory, and all the holy angels with him, then will he sit on the throne of his own glory; and all nations shall be gathered before him; and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right hand: Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave- me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me to your houses; naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me. Then will the righteous answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and feed thee? or thirsty, and give thee drink? When did we see thee a stranger, and take thee to our home? or naked, and clothe thee? When did we see thee sick, or in prison, and come to thee? And the King will answer and say to them: Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me. Then will he say to those on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you took me not to your houses; naked, and you did not clothe me; I was sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me. Then they also will answer, and say: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee? Then will he answer them, saying: Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me. And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.read more.
Alas for thee, Chorazin! alas for thee, Bethsaida! for, if the mighty works which have been done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment, than for you.

For there is nothing covered, which shall not be revealed, and hid, which shall not be made known. Wherefore, what you have spoken in the darkness, shall be heard in the light; and what you have spoken in the ear in closets, shall be proclaimed upon the house-tops. But I say to you, my friends, Fear not them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.read more.
But I will show you whom you shall fear: Fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him.

Strive to enter in through the strait gate; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house has risen, and closed the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open for us, and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not, whence you are; then, you will begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.read more.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but your selves cast out. And they shall come from the east and the west, and from the north and the south, and shall recline at table in the kingdom of God.

For the Father judges no one, but has given all judicial authority to the Son;

He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has that which judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.

And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that this is he who has been appointed by God as the judge of the living and the dead.

because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world, in righteousness, by the man whom he has chosen, giving to all assurance of this, by having raised him from the dead.

And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and the judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered: For the present withdraw; when I have a convenient season, I will call for you.

But, according to your hard and impenitent heart, you treasure up to yourself wrath for a day of wrath, and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his works; to those who, by patient continuance in good works, seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life:read more.
but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, anger and wrath, affliction and distress, upon every soul of man that practices what is evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek: but glory and honor and peace to every one that practices what is good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:

For as many as have sinned without law, shall also perish without law; and as many as have sinned under law, shall be judged by law, in the day when God shall judge the secret works of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.read more.
For when the Gentiles, who have not a law, do, by nature, the things of the law, these who have not a law, are a law to themselves, who show that the work which the law requires, is written in their hearts, their conscience bearing testimony, and their reasonings with each other accusing, or making excuse.

But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we all shall stand before the judgment-seat of the Christ. For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to God. Therefore, every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.

each man's work shall be made manifest; for the day shall make it manifest, for it is revealed with fire: and the fire shall try each man's work, what sort it is. If any man's work abide, which he builds on this, he shall receive a reward; if any man's work be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so, as through fire.

So, then, judge nothing be fore the time, till the Lord comes, who will bring to light the secret works of darkness, and will also make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall each have his praise from God.

For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each may receive his reward for the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether good or evil.

and to you that are afflicted, rest with us, at the revelation of our Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, to take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;

I charge you, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom,

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day; and not to me only, but to all those who love his appearing.

For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment, how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation? which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him;

of the teaching with respect to immersions, and of the laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal condemnation.

And, as it is appointed to men once to die, and after this the judgment,

For if we sin willfully, after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no longer a sacrifice for sins; but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and a fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses law, died without mercy, on the testimony of two or three witnesses:read more.
of how much severer punishment do you think he shall be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, a common thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace? For we know him who has said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge his people.

These shall give an account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.

then, the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the ungodly for the day of judgment, to be punished;

But the heavens and the earth that now are, by the same word are kept in store, reserved for fire against the day of judgment, and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are on it, shall be burned up. Seeing, then, that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in all holy behavior, and godliness, looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, because of which coming the heavens shall dis solve in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.

The angels also that kept not their own dominion, but left their proper habitation, he has reserved, in eternal chains under darkness, to the judgment of the great day.

Behold, he comes with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and those also who pierced him: and all the tribes of the land shall lament because of him. Even so. Amen.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldst give reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear thy name, both small and great, and that thou shouldst destroy those who corrupt the earth.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the throne; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things that were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and hades gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged, every one according to his works.read more.
And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death. And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to every one as his work shall be.
