'Incur' in the Bible
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is, eternal life actually begins—the believer is transformed], and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life.
So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment
For God has not destined us to [incur His] wrath [that is, He did not select us to condemn us], but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
And he must have a good reputation and be well thought of by those outside the church, so that he will not be discredited and fall into the devil’s trap.
and so incur judgment for breaking their former pledge.
It is a fearful and terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God [incurring His judgment and wrath].
Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.
