'Lay' in the Bible

Those who seek my life lay snares for me; those who seek to do me harm brag all day long about their wicked planning.

Even the sparrow found a house for herself and the swallow a nest to lay her young at your altar, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, my king and God.

The wicked lay in wait to destroy me, while I ponder your decrees.

Though the wicked lay a trap for me, I haven't wandered away from your precepts.

If I rise to heaven, there you are! If I lay down with the dead, there you are!
