'Lay' in the Bible
I lay down and slept;I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
Yahweh, in the morning you shall hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
