'Pain' in the Bible
We have heard the report of it;Our hands are limp.Anguish has seized us,Pain as of a woman in childbirth.
Why has my pain been perpetualAnd my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive streamWith water that is unreliable?
“You who dwell in Lebanon,Nested in the cedars,How you will groan when pangs come upon you,Pain like a woman in childbirth!
‘Why do you cry out over your injury?Your pain is incurable.Because your iniquity is greatAnd your sins are numerous,I have done these things to you.
‘You said, “Ah, woe is me! For the Lord has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning and have found no rest.”’
Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken;Wail over her!Bring balm for her pain;Perhaps she may be healed.
