'Persecute' in the Bible

“Why do you persecute me as God does,And are not satisfied with my flesh?

“If you say, ‘How shall we persecute him?’And ‘What pretext for a case against him can we find?’

“You have become cruel to me;With the might of Your hand You persecute me.

My times are in Your hand;Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.

How many are the days of Your servant?When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?

Shin.Princes persecute me without cause,But my heart stands in awe of Your words.

Let those who persecute me be put to shame, but as for me, let me not be put to shame;Let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed.Bring on them a day of disaster,And crush them with twofold destruction!
