'Suffer' in the Bible
'Your sons shall be shepherds for forty years in the wilderness, and they will suffer for your unfaithfulness, until your corpses lie in the wilderness.
"If these men die the death of all men or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me.
and you will suffer severe sickness, a disease of your bowels, until your bowels come out because of the sickness, day by day.'"
