'Roaring' in the Bible

Then Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother, and came as far as the vineyards of Timnah; and behold, a young lion came roaring toward him.

“The roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion,And the teeth of the young lions are broken.

They open wide their mouth at me,As a ravening and a roaring lion.

Who stills the roaring of the seas,The roaring of their waves,And the tumult of the peoples.

There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her.

Her princes within her are roaring lions,Her judges are wolves at evening;They leave nothing for the morning.
