'Sat' in the Bible

That day Jesus left the house and sat down beside the sea.

Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, while the entire crowd stood on the shore.

When it was full, the fishermen hauled it ashore. Then they sat down, sorted the good fish into containers, and threw the bad ones away.

Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a hillside and sat down.

Then they sat down there and continued guarding him.
