'Side' in the Bible

Don’t go out to the fields;don’t walk on the road.For the enemy has a sword;terror is on every side.

For I have heard the gossip of many people,“Terror is on every side!Report him; let’s report him!”Everyone I trusted watches for my fall.“Perhaps he will be deceivedso that we might prevail against himand take our vengeance on him.”

They will take their tents and their flocksalong with their tent curtains and all their equipment.They will take their camels for themselves.They will call out to them:Terror is on every side!

Raise a war cry against her on every side!She has thrown up her hands in surrender;her defense towers have fallen;her walls are demolished.Since this is the Lord’s vengeance,take out your vengeance on her;as she has done, do the same to her.

I will send strangers to Babylonwho will scatter her and strip her land bare,for they will come against herfrom every side in the day of disaster.
