'Taken' in the Bible

But I am full of the wrath of the Lord;I am weary with holding it in.“Pour it out on the children in the streetAnd on the gathering of young men together;For both husband and wife shall be taken,The aged and the very old.

For the brokenness of the daughter of my people I am broken;I mourn, dismay has taken hold of me.

You have planted them, they have also taken root;They grow, they have even produced fruit.You are near to their lipsBut far from their mind.

But if you will not listen to it,My soul will sob in secret for such pride;And my eyes will bitterly weepAnd flow down with tears,Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive.

Now these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the rest of the elders of the exile, the priests, the prophets and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.

The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan captain of the bodyguard had released him from Ramah, when he had taken him bound in chains among all the exiles of Jerusalem and Judah who were being exiled to Babylon.

“For behold, I am going to arouse and bring up against BabylonA horde of great nations from the land of the north,And they will draw up their battle lines against her;From there she will be taken captive.Their arrows will be like an expert warriorWho does not return empty-handed.
