'Testifying' in the Bible
At this, the high priest stood up and asked Jesus, "Don't you have any answer to what these men are testifying against you?"
Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, "Don't you have any answer to what these men are testifying against you?"
The Pharisees told him, "You're testifying about yourself. Your testimony isn't valid."
Jesus answered them, "Even though I'm testifying about myself, my testimony is valid because I know where I've come from and where I'm going. But you don't know where I come from or where I'm going.
I'm testifying about myself, and the Father who sent me is testifying about me."
This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.
But I don't place any value on my life, if only I can finish my race and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
The one who is testifying to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
