And Gideon the son of Joash died at a ripe old age and was buried in the tomb of his father Joash, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

Then his brothers and all his father’s household came down, took him, brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. Thus he had judged Israel twenty years.

They went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain.

Now the women who had come with Him out of Galilee followed, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he *saw the linen wrappings only; and he went away to his home, marveling at what had happened.

But also some women among us amazed us. When they were at the tomb early in the morning,

Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just exactly as the women also had said; but Him they did not see.”

So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.

Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and consoling her, when they saw that Mary got up quickly and went out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there.

So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, *came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.

So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.

Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.

Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene *came early to the tomb, while it *was still dark, and *saw the stone already taken away from the tomb.

So she *ran and *came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and *said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

So Peter and the other disciple went forth, and they were going to the tomb.

The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and came to the tomb first;

And so Simon Peter also *came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he *saw the linen wrappings lying there,

So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed.

But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb;

“Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

From there they were removed to Shechem and laid in the tomb which Abraham had purchased for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor in Shechem.

When they had carried out all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb.

Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.
