'Waits' in the Bible

Like a slave he longs for shade;like a hired man he waits for his pay.

A rope lies hidden for him on the ground,and a snare waits for him along the path.

He waits in ambush near the villages;he kills the innocent in secret places.His eyes are on the lookout for the helpless;

No one who waits for Youwill be disgraced;those who act treacherously without causewill be disgraced.

From ancient times no one has heard,no one has listened,no eye has seen any God except You,who acts on behalf of the one who waits for Him.

The one who waits for and reaches 1,335 days is blessed.

For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed.

Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.
