'Patience' in the Bible
Patience is better than power,and controlling one’s temper, than capturing a city.
A person’s insight gives him patience,and his virtue is to overlook an offense.
A ruler can be persuaded through patience,and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
Isaiah said, “Listen, house of David! Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men? Will you also try the patience of my God?
You know,Lord;remember me and take note of me.Avenge me against my persecutors.In Your patience, don’t take me away.Know that I suffer disgrace for Your honor.
Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.
And what if God, desiring to display His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath ready for destruction?
by purity, by knowledge,by patience, by kindness,by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love,
May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy
