'Wax' in the Bible
and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
And Moses besought Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, that thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are'set on evil.
And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place (now his eyes had begun to wax dim, so that he could not see),
What time they wax warm, they vanish; When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, And the stock thereof die in the ground;
Yet shall the righteous hold on his way, And he that hath clean hands shall wax stronger and stronger.
Wherefore do the wicked live, Become old, yea, wax mighty in power?

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure; Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
