'Wherefore' in the Bible

Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? He hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

Wherefore should I fear in the days of adversity, when the iniquity of my supplanters encompasseth me? --

Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants that is shed be known among the nations in our sight.

Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?
