'Wrath' in the Bible
Then He speaks to them in His angerand terrifies them in His wrath:
For the choir director: with stringed instruments, according to Sheminith. A Davidic psalm.Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger;do not discipline me in Your wrath.
You will make them burnlike a fiery furnace when you appear;the Lord will engulf them in His wrath,and fire will devour them.

Pour out Your wrath on the nationsthat don’t acknowledge You,on the kingdoms that don’t call on Your name,
Your wrath weighs heavily on me;You have overwhelmed me with all Your waves.Selah
Your wrath sweeps over me;Your terrors destroy me.
For we are consumed by Your anger;we are terrified by Your wrath.
For all our days ebb away under Your wrath;we end our years like a sigh.
Who understands the power of Your anger?Your wrath matches the fear that is due You.
because of Your indignation and wrath;for You have picked me up and thrown me aside.
So He said He would have destroyed them—if Moses His chosen onehad not stood before Him in the breachto turn His wrath away from destroying them.
