'Years' in the Bible

Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he took [as wife] when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.

six were born to him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months. In Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years;

either three years of famine; or three months to be consumed before your foes, while the sword of your enemies overtakes you; or else three days the sword of Yahweh, even pestilence in the land, and the angel of Yahweh destroying throughout all the borders of Israel. The Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

These were the sons of Levi after their fathers' houses, even the heads of the fathers' houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of the house of Yahweh, from twenty years old and upward.

For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.

But David didn't take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Yahweh had said he would increase Israel like the stars of the sky.

The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and thirty-three [years] reigned he in Jerusalem.
