'Attention' in the Bible

“Because I called and you refused,I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;

Hear, O sons, the instruction of a father,And give attention that you may gain understanding,

My son, give attention to my words;Incline your ear to my sayings.

My son, give attention to my wisdom,Incline your ear to my understanding;

Now therefore, my sons, listen to me,And pay attention to the words of my mouth.

He who gives attention to the word will find good,And blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.

An evildoer listens to wicked lips;A liar pays attention to a destructive tongue.

Know well the condition of your flocks,And pay attention to your herds;

If a ruler pays attention to falsehood,All his ministers become wicked.
