'Call' in the Bible

For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!You have relieved me in my distress;Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself;The Lord hears when I call to Him.

Do all the workers of wickedness not know,Who eat up my people as they eat bread,And do not call upon the Lord?

I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,And I am saved from my enemies.

Save, O Lord;May the King answer us in the day we call.

A Psalm of David.To You, O Lord, I call;My rock, do not be deaf to me,For if You are silent to me,I will become like those who go down to the pit.

Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I call upon You;Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble;I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

As for me, I shall call upon God,And the Lord will save me.

Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call;This I know, that God is for me.

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

May his name endure forever;May his name increase as long as the sun shines;And let men bless themselves by him;Let all nations call him blessed.

Pour out Your wrath upon the nations which do not know You,And upon the kingdoms which do not call upon Your name.

Then we shall not turn back from You;Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.

In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You,For You will answer me.

“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble;I will rescue him and honor him.

Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress;Incline Your ear to me;In the day when I call answer me quickly.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name;Make known His deeds among the peoples.

Because He has inclined His ear to me,Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.

I shall lift up the cup of salvationAnd call upon the name of the Lord.

To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving,And call upon the name of the Lord.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,To all who call upon Him in truth.
