'Change' in the Bible
In his eyes an evil person is despised,But he honors those who fear the Lord [and obediently worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].He keeps his word even to his own disadvantage and does not change it [for his own benefit];
The Lord will sustain and strengthen him on his sickbed;In his illness, You will restore him to health.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should changeAnd though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas,
God will hear and humble them,Even He who sits enthroned from old— Selah.Because in them there has been no change [of heart],And they do not fear God [at all].
“Even they will perish, but You endure;Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment.Like clothing You will change them and they shall be changed.
The Lord has sworn [an oath] and will not change His mind:“You are a priest foreverAccording to the order of Melchizedek.”
