'Country' in the Bible

The pastures of the wilderness drip [with dew],And the hills are encircled with joy.

I have become strange to my brothers, and like a man from a far country to my mother's children.

So He brought them to His holy land,To this hill country which His right hand had gained.

He spoke, and insects came—gnats throughout their country.

It destroyed their vines and their figs, breaking trees throughout their country.

He makes a fertile country into a salt waste, because of the sins of those who are living there.

He shall judge among the nations; he shall fill all places with dead bodies; he shall smite through the head over a great country.

He revealed his mighty deeds to his people by giving them a country of their own.

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit lead me in a plain country.
