'Donkeys' in the Bible
His estate included 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female donkeys, and a very large number of servants. Job was the greatest man among all the people of the east.
a messenger came to Job and reported: “While the oxen were plowing and the donkeys grazing nearby,
They drive away the donkeys owned by the fatherlessand take the widow’s ox as collateral.
Like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor go out to their task of foraging for food;the wilderness provides nourishment for their children.
They bray like donkeys among the bushes and huddle together under the desert weeds.
