'Ears' in the Bible
In my distress [when I seemed surrounded] I called upon the LordAnd cried to my God for help;He heard my voice from His temple,And my cry for help came before Him, into His very ears.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous [those with moral courage and spiritual integrity]And His ears are open to their cry.
We have heard with our ears, O God,Our fathers have told usThe work You did in their days,In the days of old.
Listen, O my people, to my teaching;Incline your ears to the words of my mouth [and be willing to learn].
My eye has looked on my foes;My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
They have ears, but they cannot hear;They have noses, but they cannot smell;
Lord, hear my voice!Let Your ears be attentiveTo the voice of my supplications.
They have ears, but they do not hear,Nor is there any breath in their mouths.
