'Fruit' in the Bible
Yet I destroyed the Amorite {before them}, {who was as tall as} cedars and was as strong as the oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his roots beneath.
Do horses run on rocks, or does one plow the sea with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and [the] fruit of righteousness into wormwood!
My Lord Yahweh showed me this, and there was a basket of summer fruit.
And he said, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A basket of summer fruit." And Yahweh said to me, "The end has come upon my people Israel. I will not pass by them again!"
And I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they will rebuild [the] desolated cities and will inhabit [them]. And they will plant vineyards and will drink their wine, and they will make gardens and will eat their fruit.
